I’ll let the videos do most of the talking this time (but please read my disclaimer before clicking). This experience was legendary – I have many people to thank for it. I want to give a special shout-out to my neighbors in Maryland, the Pattersons. When Joene Patterson heard about my trip, she graciously set me up with her folks in Southeastern Montana (Baker). George, Barb, & Wendy were a blast! Barb makes some great rhubarb pie, and my experience with George on his Veterinary Calls was unforgettable. Thank you!
I got to see what life was like in Big Sky Country – a beautiful place, with beautiful people, and real cowboys. While on calls with George, I hung out with livestock and observed ranching culture firsthand. At the Clinic, I got to see how they ejaculate bulls to test their semen. (For those of you at graduation, I witnessed how those gloves are supposed to be used)
A fair warning…the videos below are slightly graphic – if you’ve just eaten, you might want to come back another time. And, turn the volume up on video 3. You might just be able to hear the gushing and squeaking. My videos do not capture the whole thing; there was steam coming from the unit, just like a kettle on the stove. This is called a bovine double barrel prolapse (vagina AND rectum) – the videos feature George doing his thang!
